Join us for a Common Ground for Action (CGA)  online deliberative forum on "Policing: What Should We Do To Ensure Equal Justice and Fair Treatment In Our Communities?”

In this forum, we’ll be talking about policing reform in light of last summer’s movements on racial disparities in three different options: (1) Increase accountability: we should rethink the ways police officers are hired, trained and disciplined to make sure they enforce the law sensibly and fairly; (2) Confront persistent racial discrimination in policing: dealing with racial discrimination and bias is key or else abusive policing will continue; (3) De-escalate to create new responses to nonviolent problems: provide programs and services to address social ills and nonviolent crime to lessen the burden on police departments.
