Join this workshop especially for college and university faculty on how to set up and moderate a Common Ground for Action (CGA) online deliberative forum. This is a two hour workshop on August 7, 2020 from 2-4pm ET. We'll be talking about how to hold a CGA forum with students in the asynchronous, synchronous, or hybrid class this academic year.

In this workshop, you will learn how to set up a CGA forum and how to moderate using the platform. We will discuss what the responsibilities of a CGA moderator are and hacks and tricks for moderating, especially moderating a forum with college students or using students to moderate a CGA forum for campus/community projects. We will then work in partners to set up and get you hands on experience moderating a forum. We will conclude with questions and answers about how to integrate CGA into your classroom, ideas about assignments, and how to collaborate on CGA forums with other faculty, including during the NIFI "With The People"/Constitution Week initiative.
