Panel Discussion Co-Hosted by the National Archives and the U.S. Association of Former Members of Congress

A bipartisan group of former Members of Congress will join issue experts to examine key events in our nation's history and how they were influenced by race-- beginning with the Woodrow Wilson Administration and ending with the November 2016 elections.

Central to this discussion will be discrimination in the racially segregated military during World Wars I and II, and the ongoing effort to posthumously award Medals of Honor to those African Americans who were denied them due to their race.

Place: McGowan Theater at the National Archives, Washington, D.C.
