Land of Plenty

Join UW-Extension Winnebago County as we discuss the guidelines of civility and have face-to-face conversations on topical policy issues at the Neenah Public Library this spring. The two hour program will consist of a brief presentation, an overview of civility and guidelines for civil discourse, followed by active, small group discussion on policy topics. The goal of the evening is not to persuade people to reach the same viewpoint, rather, to enjoy stimulating and civil conversation. This free workshop does not require registration.

The three part series will address the following topics in a deliberative, small group setting, using an issue framework provided by the National Issues Forum.

Monday, May 7 | 6:00-8:00 PM
How Should We Ensure that People Have the Food They Need? This policy discussion will review facts about food systems, food insecurity and food advertisement in America, and will review potential policy solutions including access to nutritious foods, the multiple benefits of food and stewardship of the food system.
