Dolores Foley, PhD

Dolores Foley, PhD. Retired Professor Department of Urban and Regional Planning, University of Hawai`i, Disaster Management Humanitarian Assistance Certificate (DMHA) certificate program advisor and an instructor with the National Disaster Preparedness Training Center. Her research and consulting areas focus on disaster management, community planning, citizen participation, and governance of non-profit and community organizations.  She teaches courses on disaster management, community planning, and collaborative problem solving. She was a principal investigator for USAID and NOAA projects on building resilience to disasters in Indonesia and American Samoa. She has served on the National Issues Forum Institute board (NIFI) and continues to facilitate NIFI forums on current issues.
